Did you know that 1 in 5 children in the United States struggle with hunger? That means millions of kids do not have consistent access to adequate food. And in Canada, 38 percent of those helped by food banks are children.

To shine a spotlight on this hunger crisis, SCA has teamed up with Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry® campaign and Food Banks Canada, two organizations dedicated to ensuring all children and families get the healthy food they need, every day.  SCA, the maker of Tork® brand of away-from-home paper products, is helping to end hunger through a new online campaign that challenges the community to design their donation.

In celebration of the 10-year anniversary of Tork Xpressnap, SCA launches the Every Glance is a Chance campaign today, and is asking restaurant owners, foodservice operators and others to help connect meals to families struggling with hunger.

Now through October 31st, for every AD-a-Glance insert submitted to the Every Glance is a Chance website, SCA will donate up to $5 to the No Kid Hungry campaign (for U.S. participants) or Food Banks Canada (for Canadian participants). All participants can vote for their favorite AD-a-Glance design in the Every Glance is a Chance gallery and 10 operators can win $1,000 each for the best designs.

The Xpressnap AD-a-Glance feature is a powerful tool that allows businesses to create branded messaging at no cost to advertise specials, events and loyalty programs. In fact, new research from SCA and the National Restaurant Association shows that tabletop advertising can drive significant repeat business.

How can you participate in Every Glance is a Chance?

It’s easy.

2.    Each week Foodservice operators can submit their AD-a-Glance designs to be entered to win $1000 for the best design!

3.    Not a foodservice operator?  Everyone can help by customizing an AD-a-Glance with pre-designed templates.

4.    Go viral and share your post across social media platforms to encourage family, friends and colleagues to participate and support the cause.

For every Xpressnap AD-a-Glance submitted, SCA will make a donation to Share Our Strength (for U.S. participants) and Food Banks Canada (for Canadian participants).

It’s a big help. Through Share Our Strength, just $5 can help connect a child in need with up to 50 meals.*  And $1 for Food Banks Canada helps them acquire and share $20 worth of food to families affected by hunger.

*This amount was determined on the basis that $1 can help connect a child with up to 10 nutritious meals, which is, in turn, based on the individual experiences of Share Our Strength’s grant recipients. It is provided to illustrate how community investments can be used to help end childhood hunger. Each contribution made to Share Our Strength represents a contribution to its original mission.
